Metacognitive Journal

Metacognition is “thinking about thinking.” Metacognition involves understanding how you came to learn something. Use this journal page to think about what you learned and how you learned it. This could be used at the end of a unit or the end of the year. It could also be used to infer how characters from a story or from history would feel.

I would like to know why do you consider a metacognition chart good at the end of the term? Is it because the period of time it takes a topic or an action to be assimilated? I am working on a proposal with diagrams this is why I consider important to know how you are considering this graphic.

This graphic organizer focuses on using Metacognition to reflect on the learning that took place in the lesson or unit. Students will be reviewing the material while they consider how they learned it.
