Vincent van Gogh was born on March 30, 1853 and died on July 29, 1890. This quote, aside from being an inspiration to persist at the day-to-day details, seems to be reflected in the painting itself. The painting is heavily influence by Pointillism, which is a technique that combines hundreds of small dots of paint to produce masterpieces.
